Finished with an unglazed terracotta base for a natural contrast, this piece combines elegance with a playful twist. Each detail is shaped with care and crafted lovingly by skilled artisans in Romania.

MEET THE ARTISAN

Our artisans from Vâlcea county Romania, honour Horezu pottery and have practiced the craft since childhood. Each piece is lovingly handmade in their home atelier using techniques that have been passed down through generations. The colours used are natural, made from local minerals and clays, then applied to the ceramics with cow horns and fine tuned with wooden sticks. The technique is called „jirăvirea“. Each piece is shaped on a simple kick wheel and decorated with a traditional motif.

CARE & CONDITION

We take every care to ensure your items arrive on time and in perfect condition. As with all handmade crafts, each piece is one of a kind, with slight variations that reflect the artisan's unique touch. Patterns showcase subtle imperfections and the marks of the maker, and colours may vary from piece to piece.

Our ceramics are dishwasher safe; however, to preserve their longevity and keep the colours as vibrant as the day they were crafted, we recommend handwashing. When handwashing, allow the unglazed base to air dry fully before stacking or storing in a cupboard.
