The Pices serving plate is hand-thrown in Horezu, Romania and features a unique three-fish motif—an age-old symbol of abundance and connection. Crafted in our timeless round shape with a gentle dip and curve, this 21cm plate is perfect for serving side dishes, starters, or desserts.

Designed with versatility in mind, it includes discreet holes on the back so it can also be displayed as wall art when not in use. The unglazed terracotta base adds a beautiful, natural contrast to the glossy finish, highlighting the craftsmanship behind every piece.

MEET THE ARTISAN

Our artisans from Vâlcea county Romania, honour Horezu pottery and have practiced the craft since childhood. Each piece is lovingly handmade in their home atelier using techniques that have been passed down through generations. The colours used are natural, made from local minerals and clays, then applied to the ceramics with cow horns and finetuned with wooden sticks. The technique is called „jirăvirea“. Each piece is shaped on a simple kick wheel and decorated with a traditional motif.

CARE & CONDITION

We do everything possible to ensure that your items will arrive on time and undamaged. As with all handmade crafts, no two pieces are the same, and, as a result, minor differences may exist from piece-to-piece. Each pattern is unique and showcases imperfections and the marks of the craftsman. Colours may also vary depending on the piece selected.

In the pursuit of ensuring a long life for your pottery, as well as keeping the beautiful colours as vibrant as the day they were made, we recommend washing by hand.
