Our artisans use sustainable wood, primarily red willow from moisture-rich valleys, harvested in autumn and winter. Lime is also used, while harder woods like maple, ash, or beech are reserved for robust items. Red willow, valued for ease of shaping and its natural antiseptic properties. Ash, resistant to water, is preferred for kitchen tools, while lime adds sweetness to flavours. Maple, with its radiant fiber, is used for non-food items. Each wood is chosen with precision for specific purposes, enhancing the overall quality of crafted items.

Care Instructions:

Designed for daily use, hand wash these wooden dough bowls with hot water and a little eco-detergent. While they may not appreciate long soaks or dishwasher cycles, over time, they'll develop a unique patina, a testament to your usage and the natural aging process. Our wooden collection is made from various raw untreated wood. Leave them in their natural state of if yu wish,  seal with linseed oil, any initial taste or feel of oil will fade with regular washing. Use, wash, repeat, and watch them evolve with character over time.
