SITAR Cobalt Blue Earthenware Bottle Vase

Traditional Romanian craftsmanship, made for contemporary homes.

Handmade by the Sitar family in Baia Mare, this cobalt-blue earthenware bottle shaped vase brings together white, blue, green and red decorative motifs against a deep glossy glaze. Flowing lines, dotted details and a chocolate-brown handle create a vibrant celebration of Romanian folk art.

THE STORY BEHIND THE CRAFT

The SITAR Collection is created by master craftspeople Florica and Petru Sitar and their family, whose pottery-making skills have been passed down through generations.

Inspired by Romania’s historic cultural centres, the Sitars revive traditional patterns, colours and symbols using time-honoured techniques and tools. Their work keeps Romanian folk-art traditions alive while bringing fresh character to contemporary interiors.

CARE & CONDITION

We do everything possible to ensure that your items will arrive on time and undamaged. As with all handmade crafts, no two pieces are the same, and, as a result, minor differences may exist from piece-to-piece. Each pattern is unique and showcases imperfections and the marks of the craftsman. Colours may also vary depending on the piece selected.

In the pursuit of ensuring a long life for your pottery, as well as keeping the beautiful colours as vibrant as the day they were made, we recommend washing by hand.

Handmade in Romania. Rooted in heritage. Made to be treasured.
