Beautifully handcrafted using skills passed down for generations, our Horezu collection is a gorgeous addition to your table setting.

Lightweight and full of character, this plate can be used for serving your favorite dishes or simply use it as decoration around the home. Each piece comes with small holes on the base stand to allow you to hang the plate on the wall.

 

MEET THE ARTISAN


Our artisans from Vâlcea county Romania, honour Horezu pottery and have practiced the craft since childhood. Each piece is lovingly handmade in their home atelier using techniques that have been passed down through generations of artisans. The colours used are natural, made from local minerals and clays, then applied to the ceramics with cow horns and finetuned with wooden sticks. The technique is called „jirăvirea“. Each piece is shaped traditionally on a simple kick wheel and decorated with a traditional motif.

 

CARE & CONDITION

We do everything possible to ensure that your items will arrive on time and undamaged. As with all handmade crafts, no two pieces are the same, and, as a result, some minor differences may exist from piece-to-piece. Each pattern is unique  and colours will vary depending on the piece selected.

In the pursuit of ensuring a long life for your pottery, as well as keeping the beautiful colours as vibrant as the day they were made, we recommend washing by hand.
